Propagating Philodendron Splendid

  1. Choose a healthy stem with at least one node (the point where leaves and roots grow).
  2. Use a clean, sharp pair of scissors to cut just below the node.
  3. Remove the lower leaves, leaving a few at the top.
  4. Place the cutting in a vase of water or moist sphagnum moss.
  5. If propagating in water, change the water every few days to keep it fresh.
  6. After a few weeks, roots should start to develop. Once the roots are at least 2 inches long, you can transfer the cutting to soil.
